Thank you for visiting....
Born in Colorado, and raised in California, I moved to the Pacific Northwest with my husband and children in 2001. It is in Salem, Oregon, that I became involved with the Deaf community and later went on to Western Oregon University, where I completed my Interdisciplinary BA degree, in Special Education/Theater Arts, and the ASL/English Interpreter Training Program (ITP).
While completing my ITP, I served as a student representative for Oregon Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf for two consecutive years, completed the EIPA Knowledge and Performance exams, as well as the NIC Knowldege, and am currently a candidate for the NIC Interview & Performance. Prior to completing my ITP, I began working as an Employment Specialist in the Vocational Rehabilitation setting, until I was accepted, with 11 other students, internationally, into the VRS Interpreting Institute (VRSII), a prestigious professional development program located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Currently, I provide freelance interpreting services in a variety of settings, including Performing Arts, Community, and, Post-Secondary.
